Start with what you notice

The door tells you
something's changed.

You don't need to know the part name. Tell us what the door is doing; we'll inspect the system and explain what we find.

Noisy or rattling.

Rollers, hinges and loose hardware can contribute to a noisy door. We'll check the wear and whether maintenance or a repair makes sense.

Explore tune-ups

Rough or uneven.

Tracks, rollers and the lifting system work together. Binding or uneven movement needs inspection, especially if a cable looks loose or damaged.

Gaps or worn seals.

Bottom seals and weather stripping help close the gaps around the door. Cracked or worn material can let in drafts, dust and water.

What an overhaul replaces

Five wear points.
One working system.

An overhaul replaces springs, bearings, rollers, cables and drums.

These parts work together to balance and guide the door. When several are worn, we explain the option of replacing them together. If your door only needs a smaller repair, we'll quote it that way.

New parts. Always.Every part we install is new. We never reuse parts.
Balanced and tested. We check the door's movement before we leave.

An overhaul covers the lifting components. Door panels and the opener are separate.

How we size your springs
Explore the wear pointsIllustration
Five wear points in a garage door lifting system: springs, bearings, rollers, cables and drums

Balance the weight.

Springs counterbalance the door so it can move smoothly. The replacement is sized for your door, with the available cycle ratings explained before you choose.

Support the turning shaft.

Bearings support the spring shaft as it turns. We inspect them for wear and binding as part of the lifting system.

Guide the door along its tracks.

Rollers are the small wheels along the sides of the door. Worn rollers can contribute to noise and rough movement.

Connect the door to the lifting system.

Steel cables run from the bottom corners of the door to the drums. Loose, frayed or broken cables need inspection; stop using the door if you notice them.

Keep the cables winding evenly.

The grooved drums sit on the spring shaft. They guide the lift cables as the door travels, so their condition matters to even movement.

Repair or replace?

The right amount of work.
For your door.

There's almost always more than one way to fix a door. We'll show you all of them.

A specific problem

Repair the worn part.

A worn roller, damaged hinge or tired seal can be a focused repair when the rest of the door is sound.

Talk through the repair

Several worn components

Consider an overhaul.

If multiple lifting parts need attention, compare a complete overhaul with individual repairs before deciding.

What an overhaul covers

Damage to the door itself

Discuss a new door.

Damaged or deteriorated panels may make replacement worth considering. We explain the condition, scope and cost.
